Your day-to-day activities

Gain experience in many areas of accounting, including customer and vendor transactions, fixed assets, general ledger maintenance, account reconciliation, financial statement reporting and analysis, and audit and tax support. Work on projects, like ERP optimization, financial reporting, business process improvement and internal controls.

• Maintain the general ledger
• Assist with researching and resolving accounts receivable issues
• Process and record payroll
• Ensure timely recording and payment of vendor payables
• Prepare accurate month-end and quarter-end financial close activities
• Prepare monthly reconciliations
• Group consolidation: assist and improve accurate and timely financial reporting across subsidiaries
• Assist in the preparation and tie-out of financial statements
• Assist with audit fieldwork
• Prepare standard operating procedures (SOP) documentation
• Assist in identifying risks and process gaps
• Identify opportunities for process improvements
• Assist with quarterly VAT filings
• Support ad-hoc projects

What you bring to the table

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• 2+ years experience in a similar role
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Experience with NetSuite
• Knowledge of international accounting standards, tax regulations (including VAT) is a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Business fluency in German and English
• Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
• Strong problem-solving and time management skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment
