Staff Accountant at Nautilus Solar Energy

Position Summary: The Staff Accountant will analyze and reconcile account information for Nautilus Solar Energy. This remote full-time position reports to the Accounting Manager and requires less than 5% travel.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist with general ledger processing
2. Prepare and enter month-end and other journal entries
3. Prepare work papers and reports for internal accounting and auditing
4. Ensure accuracy of financial statements, following GAAP and internal policies
5. Assist with annual external audits and other examinations
6. Complete requested materials and assist in preparing annual audit schedules
7. Contribute to special projects as assigned
8. Review and reconcile accounts
9. Provide reporting support for debt facilities
10. Maintain updated records of invoices and receipts
11. Perform other duties to support the accounting department

Requirements:

• College degree or relevant experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Awareness of and interest in renewable energy (preferred)
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
• Working knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Prioritization and multitasking abilities
• Ability to work effectively with various levels of the organization and external parties
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S.
• CPA preferred, but not required
• NetSuite experience preferred, but not required
• BlackLine experience preferred, but not required
