About the role: As a Staff Product Designer, you will help bring contractor products to maturity. You will be a key individual contributor helping to drive foundational shifts in our platform and customer experiences. This is a unique opportunity to make significant changes to established, business-critical workflows.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to define a long-term UX vision.
- Work with UX Research, Data Science, Legal, Compliance, Ops, and Customer Support to understand customer problems and identify opportunities.
- Design and ship net-new and iterative projects delivering value to customers.
- Contribute to the Gusto product design community.
- Champion our design system and platform standards, and help evolve them.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 8+ years of Product Design experience.
- Demonstrated experience leading design direction at the product level and influencing design/product across multiple areas.
- Experience leading the design of approachable, guided customer experiences in complex domains.
- Direct experience maturing existing products.
- Strong product acumen, working comfortably with executive stakeholders to shape business decisions.
- Proven ability to maintain design quality and accessibility across platforms, shipping iterative solutions to deliver customer value quickly.
Compensation: $139,000/yr to $199,000/yr (Denver & most remote locations) and $179,000/yr to $221,000/yr (Seattle, San Francisco, & New York).
