Role Description:
As a Staff Product Designer on Reddit Pro, you will strategize and design the experiences we offer specifically to businesses and brands that help them understand how to find and engage with relevant, vibrant communities and conversations on Reddit. We believe that many brands are missing a core ingredient to be successful today — community. Having an organic presence on Reddit can unlock community and drive engagement and relevance for every business.
As part of this role you will collaborate closely with designers across the Consumer and Ads organizations, as well as Product Managers, Software Engineers, and UX Researchers to create delightful new experiences that connect businesses with the most relevant content and communities across Reddit.
Responsibilities:
- Be a strategic problem solver, conceptualizing non-obvious improvements that push Reddit further, and help the team chart a path to get there.
- Translate complex ideas into elegant, scalable, and intuitive design solutions.
- Execute at every stage of the design lifecycle from ideation to delivery, balancing innovation with usability.
- Drive consensus across diverse teams through effective exploration, communication, and presentation to design peers and senior leadership.
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in UX/UI design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your skills in designing for web and mobile applications.
- An inspired story-teller with strong written and presentation skills who is adept at bringing others along in their process for maximum buy-in and impact
- Comfort with complexity and finding clarity in ambiguous situations
- Humble, curious, and motivated to ship the best product
- Strong product sensibilities. Experience in social or consumer-facing products is a plus!
