As a Staff Product Manager, Observability, you will own the strategy, roadmap, and execution for Temporal Cloud’s observability, visibility, and analytics capabilities. You’ll work closely with engineering, design, go-to-market, and customers to deliver actionable insights that help customers monitor, troubleshoot, optimize, and grow their use of Temporal. Success in this role means delivering powerful new observability features and creating new revenue opportunities by turning telemetry into value.
What You’ll Do- Develop a holistic observability roadmap across all of Temporal’s Cloud and OSS offerings—spanning accounts, namespaces, Nexus, workflows, task queues, and workers.
- Drive the definition, validation, and launch of new observability-based product lines and features that contribute directly to revenue growth.
- Enhance audit logging capabilities to meet enterprise compliance requirements and improve transparency for customers.
- Create a seamless workflow history export experience that enables customers to easily analyze and archive data at scale.
- Partner closely with engineering, design, sales, and support to deliver a delightful product experience and align observability goals with Temporal’s company strategy.
- Gather customer feedback and telemetry data to inform product decisions and measure success.
- Deep expertise with observability platforms, monitoring systems, and analytics products at significant scale.
- Familiarity with distributed systems telemetry, logging, metrics visualization, and trace data.
- Understanding of operational challenges, cost considerations, and compliance requirements in observability.
- Proven track record of delivering developer- and operator-focused tools that customers love.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills; able to influence engineering, design, and go-to-market teams to drive outcomes.
- Bias for action and an analytical, customer-obsessed product management style.
