Strategic Account Management
Foster strong, long-term relationships with global key accounts and OEM partners. Increase revenue of the Standards business, focused on Reference Materials and Analytical Standards product lines. Internal advocate for strategic account needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own strategic global or regional accounts/OEM partners, providing comprehensive support across all sales process stages.
- Manage and nurture strategic account relationships with key influencers (leadership, lab stakeholders, procurement) for retention and expansion.
- Provide product awareness, consultation, and problem-solving at headquarters and site locations.
- Collaborate with account managers on assigned strategic accounts.
- Coordinate across all LGC Standards resources (account managers, End-market sales managers, quoting specialists, customer service) to ensure positive customer experience.
- Promote LGC Standards products and brands using available marketing programs and distributor channels.
- Meet and exceed forecasted sales targets.
- Produce sales proposals to meet sales bid requirements.
- Coach and mentor sales organization members to improve sales skills and career development.
- Develop in-depth understanding of LGC products and applications.
- Use LGC sales tools to manage prospects, accounts, opportunities, and pipeline.
- Increase LGC Standards brand awareness by attending exhibitions, seminars, and other events.
Qualifications:
- BSc in chemistry, physics, biochemistry, biology, or similar discipline. Experience/education combination considered.
- Proven experience selling technical products used in research laboratories.
- Prior key account management experience engaging with central procurement preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret RFQs, contracts, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Experience with customer relationship management platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Desk).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- Outstanding commercial awareness and planning abilities.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Proficiency in English (crucial); additional languages (Spanish, French) beneficial.
- Willingness to travel up to 40%.
