The Strategic Category Manager is responsible for worldwide strategic sourcing of a material/service field and its subcategories (e.g., environmental services, integrated facility management, and repair and maintenance). This position reports to the Head of Global Category and steers implementation of the respective Integrated Category Strategy, including sourcing strategy, tendering projects, benchmark activities, reporting, and stakeholder interface. The role is responsible for commercial results and financial KPIs related to the sourcing process.
The global approach creates added value for all Business Areas in terms of commercial, logistical, and technical enhancements (e.g., sustainable cost reduction, quality support, extended payment terms, warranty/liability optimization, ensuring worldwide availability of materials and services, data transparency, process improvements, and strengthening relationships with strategic business partners).
Qualifications:
- University degree in Economics, Social Sciences, or similar.
- Advanced English level.
- Advanced MS Office knowledge.
- More than 5 years of relevant professional experience in Purchasing (or similar functions) in an international environment.
- Advanced experience in project management and working in projects with an international scope/environment.
- Extended experience in conducting negotiations with global responsibility and stakeholder management.
- Knowledge of purchasing processes (and/or relevant to the field) description and optimization.
