As the APM US Strategic Procurement Director, you will lead the strategic management of a diverse spend profile of approximately $350 million across both direct and indirect categories. This role is central to embedding procurement practices that deliver commercial value, ensures responsible procurement, that supports APM’s mission to positively impact lives through the services we deliver.
A comfortable self-starter, you will drive procurement capability, lead change, and collaborate with stakeholders across the US to bring the majority of spend under strategic management. Your leadership will help shape sourcing frameworks, tools, and reporting aligned to Group standards, while tailoring them to the unique needs of the US market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Procurement LeadershipLead sourcing and category management across US direct and indirect spend.
- Provide commercial oversight and strategic execution of spend initiatives.
- Establish and maintain a US-specific category taxonomy and spend reporting framework
- Governance & Capability BuildingDevelop and embed procurement tools, templates, and minimum control frameworks.
- Lead change management and upskilling across US business units.
- Collaborate with Group on lifecycle design, sourcing frameworks, and P2P technology decisions.
8+ years experience in strategic sourcing and procurement lifecycle management.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, supply chain, or a related field preferred but not essential.
- Experience in building and shaping procurement ways of working.
- Comfortable working autonomously in a decentralised model, with a collaborative mindset.
- Proven experience in strategic sourcing and procurement lifecycle management.
- Strong commercial and analytical skills, with a data-informed approach.
- Demonstrated ability to lead change and influence across diverse stakeholder groups.
