Full-Time Strategic Sourcing Manager

Role The scope of the Strategic Sourcing Manager, Marketing Events role is to build strong relationships with their internal business units and drive enterprise-wide sourcing, category management, contract negotiation and delivery of the Marketing category, including but not limited to Event Management, Event Venue, as well as Advertising, Creating, Market Research, Promotional Items, Lead Generation and Print. Provide subject matter expertise and strategic guidance within categories; manage and execute appropriate sourcing process and procedures. This role provides leadership and direction in support of the company’s Marketing functions for Strategic Sourcing.

• Develops and creates sourcing plans and category strategies, requests for proposal, and other sourcing documents.
• Evaluates and recommends purchasing and sourcing decision to management.
• Review spend analysis, assess, and proactively seek opportunities for Cost Savings and Avoidance.
• Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
• Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal results.
• Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation.
• Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking.
• Assess, manage and mitigate risks.
• Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers.
• Determine quantity and timing of deliveries.
• Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand.
• Actively seek out industry knowledge through research, trade shows, conferences and online training, establishing yourself as a trusted advisor.
