Full-Time Strategic Sourcing Manager – IT Hardware

Responsibilities: Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI’s potential impact on the function or industry.

Category Management and Contract Execution: Partner with internal (commercial and technical) stakeholders on clarifying short and long-term IT hardware, IaaS, and global support/maintenance sourcing requirements whilst leading the development of supplier negotiation strategies. Own opportunity assessment and initiation through contract execution.

Supplier Relationship Management: Lead commercial and contractual requirements across ServiceNow’s IT Hardware supplier profile. Craft unique supplier strategies that align to stakeholders’ requirements.

RFx Management: Supplier interface for all RFI, RFP and RFQs. Conduct proper TCO Modeling of RFx proposals, present RFx results to stakeholders, and drive towards the closure of a sourcing decision.

Competitive Benchmarking and Market Research: Stay up to date on IT Hardware and IaaS market dynamics to ensure Category is properly managed. Guide stakeholders on changes in market dynamics.

Sustainability Initiatives: Collaborate with internal Sustainability teams to support Sustainability requirements with suppliers. Drive suppliers towards improving Sustainability efforts.

Demand Forecasting: Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand.

Industry Knowledge: Actively seek out industry knowledge through research, trade shows, conferences and online training, establishing yourself as a trusted advisor

Sourcing and Contracting: Manage, advise, and engage in the sourcing and contracting processes in the IT Hardware, IaaS and Hardware and Software Maintenance and Support categories.

Supplier Management: Conduct supplier analysis, evaluate potential suppliers, and support the overall supplier qualification process.

Best Value Selection: Drive best value supplier selection to drive year over year savings on over $600M spend.

Sourcing Plans: Develop and create sourcing plans and hardware category strategies, requests for proposal, and other sourcing strategies.

Required Experience: 7+ years of sourcing experience within the IT hardware, IaaS, and global support/maintenance services categories, preparing cost models, negotiating with suppliers, and presenting recommendations to stakeholders and Executive Leadership.

Supplier Experience: Experience working with industry leading suppliers such as Dell, Cisco, Juniper, IBM, Apple, Lenovo and value-added resellers, etc.

Client Experience: Experience working within the client and peripherals/consumables sourcing category.

Knowledge: Knowledge of hardware leasing (i.e., printers, MFP devices, laptops, etc.) Knowledge of purchasing and supply chain processes, with an analytical and results focused approach.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with key stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation.

Process Knowledge: Experience with RFx processes, contract process, and sourcing best practices.

Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiations skills with a track record of crafting negotiation strategies and achieving optimal results.

Communication Skills: First-class professional and interpersonal communication skills for collaboration with internal and external relationships at all levels and across all cross-functional disciplines.

Organization and Time Management: Excellent organization and time management skills to oversee concurrent projects, tasks, and deadlines.

Strategic Approach: Have demonstrated success in developing and implementing strategy, governance, and structure in a rapidly changing environment.
