Full-Time Strategic Sourcing Manager, Marketing Events

Role The scope of the Strategic Sourcing Manager, Marketing Events role is to build strong relationships with internal business units and drive enterprise-wide sourcing, category management, contract negotiation, and delivery of the Marketing category, including Event Management, Event Venue, Advertising, Creating, Market Research, Promotional Items, Lead Generation, and Print. Provide subject matter expertise and strategic guidance within categories; manage and execute appropriate sourcing process and procedures. This role provides leadership and direction in support of the company’s Marketing functions for Strategic Sourcing.

• Develops and creates sourcing plans and category strategies, requests for proposal (RFPs), and other sourcing documents.
• Evaluates and recommends purchasing and sourcing decisions to management.
• Reviews spend analysis, assesses, and proactively seeks opportunities for Cost Savings and Avoidance.
• Tracks and reports key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
• Crafts negotiation strategies and closes deals with optimal results.
• Partners with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation.
• Performs cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking.
• Assesses, manages, and mitigates risks.
• Seeks and partners with reliable vendors and suppliers.
• Determines quantity and timing of deliveries.
• Monitors and forecasts upcoming levels of demand.
• Actively seeks out industry knowledge through research, trade shows, conferences, and online training, establishing yourself as a trusted advisor.
