Job Details
Commodity Manager will develop the global sourcing strategy for Professional Services. The position will act as the sourcing expert, liaison with legal, procurement ambassador, and business integrator to understand business goals and partner in developing sourcing strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop negotiation strategies and advise requestors on contract terms.
- Monitor contract costs & scope for compliance, best value, and pricing validation.
- Recommend cost savings through alternative sourcing.
- Manage supplier relationships (selection, qualification, reviews, corrective actions, cost reduction).
- Perform should-cost analysis, implement cost reduction initiatives, and drive process improvements.
- Support business owners in fast-paced environments.
- Provide strategic sourcing support, drive improvements in cost, quality, deliverables, and cycle-time.
- Manage supplier relationships and lead business reviews with vendors.
Essential Duties:
- Strategic Sourcing: Identify, qualify suppliers, initiate RFXs, advise on contract terms, create/teach market analyses, and form sourcing strategies. Lead RFP processes and cross-functional teams. Lead negotiations, including Master Agreements and Statements of Work. Analyze total costs, conduct ROI analysis, and benchmark pricing. Provide global contract expertise. Develop and execute Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) sourcing strategies and negotiation plans.
- Category Management: Develop, refine, and implement category strategies. Become a subject matter expert on Professional Services categories. Lead cross-functional meetings and develop communication strategies.
- Supplier Management: Manage supplier relationships, mediate issues and resolve disputes, and lead periodic business reviews.
- Contract Management: Evaluate and improve contract processes and systems. Coordinate proposal comparisons and final contract terms.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of indirect strategic sourcing experience in a multinational organization.
- Experience in Professional Services (e.g., HR Services, employee benefits, temp labor, recruiting, training, management services).
- Strong negotiation, influencing, project management, and analytical skills.
- Experience with sourcing/contracting ERP tools (SAP, Oracle).
- Strong communication (written/verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to achieve results in a fast-moving environment.
