Technical Author is responsible for ensuring consistency in developing contract content for main infrastructure contracts, professional service contracts, and public-private partnership contracts.
The role defines consistent requirements applicable throughout Project Procurement and contract administration.
Collaborates with stakeholders to translate their needs into deliverables using consistent language and requirements.
Supports program development and delivery, and provides general team support and guidance.
Experience Requirements:
- 10+ years' experience in capital projects or asset management.
- 5+ years' specialized experience in bid or contract content writing, including project lifecycle activities in significant procurement, ideally in high-value metro rail projects.
- Demonstrable academic qualifications (NFQ Level 6 or 7, or equivalent).
Technical Skills:
- Experience in Documentation Process and System/software engineering process.
- Experience and working knowledge of developing software/system manuals.
- Experience and working knowledge of cloud or web-based packages for digital manuals/guides.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary groups and managing complex interfaces.
- Proficiency in creating clear, concise, technical documentation (user manuals, installation guides, troubleshooting guides).
- Familiarity with engineering principles related to metro systems (civil, electrical, mechanical).
- Knowledge of systems integration, quality management, and process improvement practices (construction sector desirable).
Communication & Other Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear dialogue.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and collaboration skills.
