Full-Time Technical Author

Technical Author is responsible for ensuring consistency in developing contract content for main infrastructure contracts, professional service contracts, and public-private partnership contracts.

Responsibilities:

• Derive contract content from sponsors' requirements.
• Develop contract requirements (e.g., NEC4, PPP).
• Develop evaluation criteria aligned with KPIs, critical success factors, and sponsors' requirements.
• Support overall programme evaluation criteria.
• Respond to tender queries accurately.
• Evaluate tender returns using evaluation models and scoring.
• Define mapping from requirements to delivered benefits.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to transform needs into deliverables using consistent language.
• Collaborate with software developers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
• Translate technical information into concise content for various audiences.
• Provide support for cloud/web-based packages and digital documentation.
• Organize and structure documentation effectively.
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to style guidelines.
• Conduct thorough reviews and edits to improve clarity and usability.
• Assist in design and formatting for visual appeal.
• Collaborate with the marketing team for repurposing content.
• Stay informed about industry best practices.
• Perform additional tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years' experience in capital projects or asset management.
• 5+ years' experience in bid or contract content writing.
• Demonstrable academic qualifications (NFQ Level 6 or 7) or equivalent.
• Experience with documentation processes.
• Experience developing software/system manuals.
• Experience with cloud/web-based packages for digital documentation.
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
• Experience in multi-disciplinary groups and managing complex interfaces.
