We are seeking a Technical Consultant in our Manufacturing Solutions Division.
The ideal candidate must possess a consulting mindset to understand mechanical engineering and manufacturing challenges. They will develop and implement leading-edge solutions, work with sales staff to understand client requirements, and deliver solutions across North America (expect travel). Excellent communication and customer service are crucial.
Key Responsibilities:
- Consult with clients to define their needs and qualify solutions.
- Collaborate with sales staff and clients to document business goals and processes.
- Prepare deliverable documents (scopes of work, recommendations).
- Create intellectual property to support sales and implementations.
- Provide training, mentoring, and technical support to clients.
- Deliver technical presentations at seminars, workshops, conferences.
- Act as a brand ambassador to increase company visibility.
- Map existing workflows and recommend technology solutions.
- Lead technology implementations to successful adoption.
- Participate in digital twin and digital transformation engagements.
- Interface with project executives (up to C-level).
- Drive problem formulation, analysis, and resolution.
- Establish client value propositions tied to strategic, financial, and operational metrics.
- Contribute to the engagement process from start to finish (scopes, budgets, staffing).
- Communicate results to clients.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years industry experience in design/production.
- Strong Autodesk Inventor and Vault (or related PDM) skills.
- Data management administration and workflow experience.
- CAM/CNC programming (a plus).
- FEA/CFD Simulation experience (a plus).
- Degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
- Consulting experience (desired).
- Business workflow mapping experience (desired).
- Professional license (preferred).
- Knowledge of manufacturing and Product Lifecycle Management software.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.
- Strong business acumen, high energy, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and engage in multiple projects simultaneously.
- Travel up to 20%.
- Valid driver's license and reliable automobile required.
Compensation: $90,000-$120,000+
