Job Purpose: Manages the North American Burn-In FAE group and functions as the key technical expert for customers and sales channel. Focus on both quantity and quality of Semi & Burn-In sales. Customers include both local and globally managed accounts.
Responsibilities:
- Management of FAE staff: training, performance reviews, hiring, termination, motivation, coaching, and discipline.
- Training subordinates in policies and procedures.
- Increasing sales in accordance with corporate growth strategy.
- Working closely with direct and indirect sales channels to identify qualified opportunities.
- Driving opportunities to Design Win.
- Thorough technical understanding of all Smiths Semiconductor Brands and capabilities.
- Effective Solution-based selling utilizing company technologies and capabilities.
- Utilizing company systems and processes for customer requirements and use drawings.
- Providing technical support and design guidance to Customers, Regional Sales Managers, and indirect sales channel.
- Identifying and enhancing company's competitive advantage.
- Pre-sales applications support to customers, internal departments, and sales teams.
- Defining new products and applications, and solving customer application problems.
- Maintaining and prioritizing customer projects with Engineering, Customer Service, Business Development, Marketing, and Project Management.
- Supporting trade shows, technical conferences, and industry events.
Accountabilities:
- Proven ability to develop, negotiate, work directly with customers, and close complex technical issues.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including public speaking and presentation.
- Ability to persuade and motivate others, team player, and collaborative worker.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Solid knowledge of the semiconductor test market.
- Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects in parallel.
Technical Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Associate degree and 10 years related industry experience; or Bachelor's degree and 7 years related experience.
- Field Sales or Engineering experience in the Semiconductor industry.
- Advanced knowledge of Semiconductor Test and Burn-In products and applications (preferable).
- Ability to travel up to 50% or more.
- US Citizen or permanent resident (ITAR compliance).
