This is a full-time position for a Junior Analytical Technologist based out of the Katwijk, NL regional office. Primary responsibilities include equipment maintenance, project preparation, lab analysis (regional office), sampling and analysis (field). This role requires significant international travel throughout Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
Typical project duration: 3-10 days (including travel). Expect to be on assignment up to half the year.
Required skills and qualities:
- Comfort with diverse climates and cultures.
- Field testing tasks: Sample point preparation, collection, analysis, data interpretation.
- Project planning participation.
- Equipment cleaning, preparation, organization, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Data interpretation and reporting assistance.
- General support to senior personnel.
Minimum Requirements:
- MBO-4 diploma (All-round Laboratory Technician or Chemical Physical Analyst, or equivalent).
- Netherlands Class B driver’s license (or equivalent).
- Valid passport and ability to obtain foreign visas.
- Compliance with Sulphur Experts Health & Safety Program and Drug/Alcohol Testing (where applicable).
- Extremely flexible schedule, available to travel on short notice (up to 2 weeks).
- Physical fitness (climbing stairs/ladders with equipment, wearing PPE).
- Comfort with hand tools (spanners, pliers, hammers, etc.).
- Fluency in spoken and written English, technical communication.
- Ability to work in industrial conditions with potential exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, gases.
Additional Information:
- Four-week training period at Calgary, Canada head office after starting.
