Experian North America is seeking a senior finance leader for the Financial Services & Data (FSD) business. The FSD business creates financial opportunities for clients and consumers through data-powered platforms and advanced analytics.
Delivering innovative solutions for the financial services industry (banks, credit unions, fintech). These solutions enable clients to manage customer acquisitions, credit underwriting, and risk management.
The VP of Finance will be a key member of the leadership team, collaborating with the BU President and Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and responsible for delivering results across the P&L.
This role includes FP&A and Technology finance, driving progress across aspects of the P&L.
The VP will provide decision support to executive management, lead financials for the BU budget, strategic plan, forecast, and reporting.
Responsibilities include financial analysis, modelling, and expanding team capacity through partnerships.
The role reports to the CFO of FSD, with exposure to executives within the business, NA Finance, NA Region and global Group team.
The business has significant market opportunity with investments in strategic initiatives and technology transformation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Key advisor to various EVPs (Data Office, Ops & Governance, FSD Product Marketing, FSD CTO, Business Ventures)
- Accountable for financial performance against targets, and collaboration to optimize performance.
- Guide the corporate Strategic Planning Process and contribute to strategic focus.
- Oversee budget and forecast development, preparation, and presentation.
- Drive financial analysis with comprehension of KPIs and operating trends.
- Support executives in analyzing and diagnosing KPIs to improve operational results.
- Build and develop a high-functioning finance organization, improving processes.
- Establish effective relationships across the BU in NA and globally.
- Support M&A activities, ensuring financial models reflect risk and return.
- Help lead incentive system design and management, collaborating with HR and Sales.
- Manage the FSD capital planning and investment process.
- Ensure appropriate systems, policies, budgets and controls for sound legal and fiduciary practices.
- Develop business understanding including risks, opportunities and competitive environment.
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of progressive management and leadership experience in finance.
- Proficient knowledge of accounting and finance with complex analysis skills (GAAP and IFRS).
- Experience providing insights to cloud-based businesses.
- Proven performance in partnering finance with operations.
- Comfortable in a matrixed organization.
- Proven success in developing and executing business strategies.
- Experience analyzing market opportunities and competitive landscapes.
- Experience in financial analysis, management reporting, accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and project management.
- Ability to build teams, lead people, and achieve results.
- Experience in M&A activities, including identification, due diligence, and integration.
- Experience automating processes and using advanced technology (RPA, Tableau, etc.) (preferred)
- Bachelor's degree. MBA, CPA, or relevant Master's Degree (preferred).
