About the RoleHowl is seeking a strategic VP, Revenue to lead growth and client strategy for brand and creator partners, and retail network clients. Oversees sales, client success, and revOps teams. Reports directly into the CEO.
Key Responsibilities
- Revenue Leadership & GTM Strategy: Own end-to-end revenue strategy (sales, customer success, revOps). Develop and execute innovative GTM strategies for new markets, categories, and opportunities. Co-author sales assets, communications, materials showcasing traction. Drive planning & forecasting (book sizing, quotas, org planning, structuring). Build strategies for sales pipeline growth, coach sales teams, enable new business acquisition. Navigate complex client situations. Foster strong, durable, partner-driven relationships. Maintain focus on customer success & retention.
- Team Building & Culture: Lead, inspire, energize the revenue team. Cultivate positive, high-energy culture. Hire, retain, and grow top-tier talent, focus on team morale and professional development. Hands-on leader in lean startup environment.
- Revenue Operations (RevOps): Oversee revOps, including reporting, best practices, and automation for scalable growth. Ensure RevOps integration within revenue function for autonomy and strategic insights.
Qualifications
- 7+ years relevant experience in revenue-generating functions (sales, marketing, customer success).
- Proven ability to create & execute GTM strategies in startup/entrepreneurial environment.
- Deep understanding of selling to and partnering with marketing executives.
- Track record of driving revenue growth, building high-performing teams, implementing scalable processes.
- Strong background in sales planning, forecasting, quota management.
- Experience with digital marketing spend and ROI, especially in eCommerce industries.
- Skilled in managing RevOps, with clear POV on reporting, metrics, best practices.
- Ability to inspire and uplift teams, fostering collaboration, innovation, accountability.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate problem-solving and influence stakeholders.
- Strong startup leadership skills (problem-solving, risk assessment, decision-making under uncertainty).
- Bonus for experience in eCommerce, SaaS, marketing technology.
- Bonus for ownership of full revenue function (sales, marketing, customer success).
- Strong coaching skills, co-creating compelling sales materials and presentations.
- Experimental mindset, willingness to launch and iterate.
