Your Mission
We are seeking a VP of Southern Europe Sales/Business Development to lead and build a team (10+ Fte’s) that’s dedicated to the delivery of new business, build our local footprint and will manage the teams in all countries. This role is accountable and responsible for the overall sales performance including achieving targets for profitable sales volume, market share, and other key financial performance objectives aligned to the overall Nuvei business strategy.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and execute robust strategies to maximize revenue streams and achieve ambitious financial targets through alignment of the sales organization’s objectives with the firm’s business strategy. Financial targets include accountability for effective sales organization design and resource deployment.
- Cultivate and nurture key client relationships, strategic partnerships, and alliances to enhance the organization's market presence and drive business success.
- Provide strong and focused leadership to the sales team, fostering a high-performance culture and promoting collaboration within a multicultural environment.
- Develop and execute on the strategy to deliver successful partnerships across the payments industry to enable lead generation, and product enhancements to support revenue generation.
- Build and foster teamwork across key internal partnerships to deliver on the customer experience and overall sales targets such as Marketing, Sales Operations, Commercial Enablement, Risk, Finance and more
Qualifications include, but are not limited to:
- Undergraduate degree required, Masters or equivalent experience preferred
- 10 years+ experience in leading sales and relationship management teams
- 10+ years’ experience in a leadership role in the payment’s industry and leadership experience in senior management positions.
- Proven ability to develop and foster industry relationships with partners, merchants, and payments leaders across the industry.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment, adapting quickly to market changes, and driving agility within the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to build and inspire high performing teams across a distributed workforce and multiple time zones and collaborate effectively with peers and colleagues to overcome challenges and drive teamwork for results.
- Demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to travel as needed to build relationships, attend key events, and support business initiatives across the Europe region.
- The ideal candidate is either located in France or Spain and ideally is fluent in both languages.
