As APAC Warehouse Contract Manager, you will provide commercial expertise to the APAC logistics organization to optimize business value with our external partners and drive performance in both cost and customer services.
Main responsibilities include:
- Contract life-cycle management - to maintain contract standards in line with global best practice, local laws and regulations. Secure that contracts & business cases are presented, approved, and signed according to the set approval limits, deadlines, and mandates.
- Responsible for tracking and the compliance of all current agreements in APAC.
- Act as representative to local and global legal team on behalf of logistics to ensure effective cooperation.
- Collaborate closely with different functions to review and develop commercial standards/ terms/frameworks in contracts.
- Timely report any potential cost impact arising from contract negotiations to controlling function.
- Drive value and profitability by identifying potentials.
- Responsible to provide and drive clear standards for supplier selection, negotiation and contracting within the region in collaboration with other relevant stakeholders.
- Lead negotiations with suppliers and service providers (including : Warehousing, and support with leases on a need to basis). Support with running large scale tenders when needed.
- Evaluate options, risks, potentials and provide recommendations to improve on contract conditions during tenders and prolongations.
- Evaluate the flexibility needs in contracts (termination clauses, amendments, prolongations, indexation, fixed costs vs. vol. commitment) and risk mitigation plans.
- Monitor and analyze spend data per vendor and ensure that costs are in line with signed contracts.
We are looking for you who have:
- Deep logistics expertise in negotiations, contract setups, vendor relationship management and procurement.
- Strong understanding of vendor requirements, as well as compliance of global standards and local legislation, sustainability and performance criteria.
