Full-Time Sustainability Expert

Sustainability Expert is a subject matter expert (SME) supporting Assent's market leadership in software and services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of sustainability best practices, influencing existing solutions and identifying new product opportunities.
• Provide full-cycle expertise and guidance to internal and external stakeholders.
• Support regulatory compliance efforts (e.g., Conflict Minerals, CSRD).
• Keep abreast of regulatory and sustainability trends.
• Engage with product management to develop new products based on market needs.
• Support the evolution of Assent's solution, including adopting best practices.
• Provide expertise to prospective customers and support compliance goals.
• Support trade association engagement and events.
• Demonstrate thought leadership through external materials (e.g., blog posts, webinars).
• Support training programs on regulatory compliance, ESG, and responsible sourcing.

Key Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in ESG, responsible sourcing, or related fields.
• Relevant post-secondary degree.
• Understanding of manufacturing practices.
• Familiarity with sustainability software (e.g., Assent).
• Strong research, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage projects and meet deadlines.
• Flexibility to work across multiple geographies and travel internationally.

Qualifications:

• Relevant experience in large manufacturing enterprises or advisory roles.
• Experience in responsible sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management.
• Familiarity with ESG and sustainability reporting standards.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Additional languages (German, French, Italian, Danish) beneficial.
