The Senior Planning Analyst plays a key strategic and operational role by transforming complex data into actionable information that drives efficiency, optimizes resource allocation, and ensures the availability of finished products.
The incumbent acts as a business partner to management and various stakeholders, developing short, medium, and long-term planning strategies, while coordinating production with internal and external manufacturing partners.
In a complex and dynamic international environment, he or she contributes to aligning operations with the company's strategic objectives, while ensuring the stability and flexibility of the supply chain.
Main Responsibilities:
- Analysis and forecasting: Collect, analyze and interpret operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
- Strategic and operational planning: Develop and maintain short, medium and long-term production plans, taking into account global supply lead times, demand variability and capacity constraints.
- Production coordination and manufacturing partnerships: Develop and manage production schedules in collaboration with external partners. Negotiate and align production capacities with demand forecasts. Ensure smooth communication to guarantee respect of deadlines and volumes.
- Critical component and inventory management: Monitor and anticipate critical material needs. Implement sourcing strategies to reduce the risk of shortages. Optimize inventory levels to ensure business continuity while minimizing costs.
- Process optimization: Identify and implement improvements, including automation and simplification of planning processes.
- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Develop and monitor dashboards to measure monthly and annual sales and operations, supplier and service rates.
- Project management: Coordinate and lead continuous improvement initiatives according to best practices.
- Collaboration and communication: Work closely with planning, procurement, engineering, sales and production teams in a multilingual and multicultural context. Provide informed recommendations to leaders.
Requirements:
- University degree in operations management, industrial engineering, logistics or a related field or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 5 to 7 years in a similar role (planning, operations, supply chain).
- Experience in a technological or electronic manufacturing environment (an asset).
- Analytical skills: Ability to synthesize complex data and propose suitable solutions.
- Interpersonal skills: Excellent communication, diplomacy, active listening and strong negotiation skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and prioritization skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas, etc.).
- Practical experience with Power Query and data analysis tools.
- Knowledge of ERP systems (Netsuite or equivalent).
- Bilingualism (French and English), frequent contacts outside Quebec.
