As APAC Warehouse Contract Manager, you will provide commercial expertise to the APAC logistics organization to optimize business value with external partners and drive performance in cost and customer services.
Main responsibilities include:
- Contract life-cycle management - to maintain contract standards in line with global best practice, local laws and regulations.
- Ensure contracts & business cases are presented, approved, and signed according to approval limits, deadlines, and mandates.
- Track and ensure compliance of all current agreements in APAC.
- Act as representative to local and global legal team on behalf of logistics to ensure effective cooperation.
- Collaborate with different functions to review and develop commercial standards, terms, and frameworks in contracts.
- Report potential cost impacts from contract negotiations to controlling function.
- Drive value and profitability by identifying potentials.
- Provide and drive clear standards for supplier selection, negotiation, and contracting within the region.
- Lead negotiations with suppliers and service providers (Warehousing, leases).
- Support large-scale tenders when needed.
- Evaluate options, risks, potentials, and provide recommendations to improve contract conditions during tenders and prolongations.
- Evaluate flexibility needs in contracts (termination, amendments, prolongations, indexation, fixed costs vs. volume commitment) and risk mitigation plans.
- Monitor and analyze spend data per vendor and ensure costs are in line with contracts.
