Veolia Water Technologies' Hydrex Chemical Solutions Group is seeking a Water Management Technician in the greater Baltimore/Frederick MD, and Washington D.C. areas.
This position involves the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of a variety of industrial and commercial water and wastewater treatment equipment.
- Collect and test water samples to determine concentration levels and impurities and generate a Veolia Vision service report.
- Perform all scheduled maintenance, service, and new installations of water treatment equipment.
- Responsible for accurate record keeping of client data such as residual content of chemicals, water turbidity, and water pressure and chemical inventories.
- Comply with all client safety requirements and training.
- Coordinate with other operators throughout customer locations in order to maintain the plants water treatment equipment.
- Be present for all annual or semi annual equipment inspections or shutdown and be capable of generating an inspection report.
- Coordinate with Veolia purchasing department to order water treatment supplies, such as equipment and chemicals, in order to maintain the client’s water treatment equipment and chemical inventory.
- Compile data for monthly operating reports to in house management and client management and during annual reviews
- Responsible for training client’s personnel in the proper operating procedures for water treatment equipment.
- Troubleshoot problems within client’s water treatment equipment and coordinate repairs as necessary.
- Operate and maintain a company service vehicle.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High School Degree required, College Degree or training equivalent preferred.
- Must be proficient with MS Office.
- 1 - 3 years of related work experience is required.
