Full-Time Accounts Receivable Officer

Accounts Receivable Officer ensures accurate and timely revenue tracking, payment receipt, and financial transaction recording for goods and services. This role manages the billing system, generates invoices, reconciles accounts, and supports customers.

1. Billing System Management: Maintain and update the billing system; sync with accounting software for seamless transactions.
2. Invoicing and Documentation: Generate invoices, credit notes, and statements; verify and post payments; provide customer support documents and address queries.
3. Reconciliation and Month-end Reporting: Maintain A/R records, apply credits/collections; account for uncollectible amounts; clear miscellaneous differences. Perform daily cash management tasks, including bank deposits, cash receipt log updates, and sub-ledger posting.
4. Collection and Support: Monitor and collect A/R by contacting clients; prepare A/R analytical reports for management; support other accounting team members; ensure accurate month-end tasks.
5. Other Responsibilities: Support company financial optimization through payment/account reconciliations; communicate discrepancies to management; identify slow-paying customers and recommend collection candidates; strengthen client relationships regarding past-due accounts; streamline the accounts receivable process; maintain integrity and confidentiality in financial reporting.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience as an Accounts Receivable Officer.
• Strong data entry skills.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and A/R processes.
• Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, XERO, and Cin7 (advantageous).
• Understanding of accounting principles, fair credit practices, and collection regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
