Job Overview

The Assistant Professor is responsible for teaching courses, conducting committee work, and serving the College and community. The role focuses on curriculum development, student mentorship, and professional development.

Responsibilities

1. Evidence-Based Teaching/Learning: Implement College philosophy, curriculum, and course objectives through various teaching methods (classroom, online, clinical). Develop curricular innovations.
2. Student Support: Provide feedback to students, remediation, and academic advisement.
3. Professional Role Modeling: Serve as a positive role model for students, mentoring them in professional and social development.
4. Professional Service: Participate in professional activities outside the College, and contribute to program development and evaluation.
5. Leadership: Assume leadership roles in College committees, work groups, and accreditation preparation. Gather and analyze data for systematic evaluation.
6. Applied Practice Expertise (Health Professions): Monitor field/practicum agencies, plan applied practice experiences, and supervise students.
7. Scholarship: Demonstrate scholarship congruent with the expectations of the rank, including current course materials, participation in peer reviews, and reflecting on teaching practices.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in the field of study; Doctorate preferred.
• Minimum of two (2) years full-time teaching experience with at least two years at the Instructor rank.
• Two (2) years of professional experience in a healthcare setting.
• Current professional licensure and regulatory credentials (as appropriate).
• Strong communication skills, initiative, and professional judgment.

Compensation

Salary range: $53,520.90 - $96,736.53 (USD)
