Supervisor, Reimbursement Patient Access

Provides exceptional support to Guardant Health customers, the Guardant Health Clinical Laboratory, Sales Representatives and our billing vendor.

Must possess strong communication skills with all individuals, including external customers and internal Guardant Health personnel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervise a team of Reimbursement Patient Access Specialist
• Meet regularly with the team
• Meet regularly with individual staff members
• Approve timecards and time off requests
• Ensure timely and accurate resolution of financial cases and patient outreach
• Perform regular audits to verify data entry accuracy and insurance validity
• Ensure processes align with sample volume and policy changes
• Verify incoming requisitions for payment type and data accuracy
• Check incoming requisitions for insurance, Medicare, Medical, etc. patient eligibility
• Contact clients and patients to obtain or verify billing data
• Inform clients and patients about the Financial Assistance Program
• Export data from LIMS, upload data to various applications for eligibility and patient information
• Document all phone calls and follow-up activities
• Contact physicians and other medical personnel for missing billing information
• Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures for Reimbursement, Patient Pre-Billing and FAP Procedure
• Perform quality checks to ensure accuracy of data entry
• Handle reimbursement and billing inquiries
• Perform other administrative duties

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Laboratory Science, Clinical Science, or related field preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment with internal employees, contractors and managers
• Strong multitasking and project management skills
• Self-discipline, good judgment, and independence
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Salesforce and Microsoft Office
• Flexibility with working hours
• Ability to lift up to 10 lbs

Hybrid Work Model: Defined days for in-person/onsite and work-from-home collaboration

Salary Range: $75,500 - $120,800 (full-time)

Note: Palo Alto/Redwood City locations have a higher salary range ($100,700 - $135,900)
