Full-Time Associate Director, Legal

Guardant Health seeks a Director, Healthcare Compliance to join the Commercial Legal & Compliance team.

This role will serve as legal counsel for day-to-day contract matters and a compliance advisor to the Screening Division.

Experience Required:

• Healthcare experience providing legal advice on contracts with referral sources for designated health services (DHS).
• Compliance program development/deployment experience, including OIG recommendations for clinical laboratories.
• Knowledge of federal/state laws (False Claims Act, Starks Law, EKRA, Antikickback statute, anti-bribery and corruption) and diagnostics/device industry requirements.
• Experience implementing compliance policies.
• Strong contract negotiation and drafting skills, including commercial payor agreements, laboratory services agreements, and more.
• Healthcare industry best practices for ethics and compliance risk.

Essential Duties:

• Provide legal counsel on compliance issues.
• Review, revise, and negotiate contracts.
• Identify risks in marketing/sales of cancer diagnostic products.
• Develop and maintain compliance policies.
• Stay updated on healthcare compliance trends, laws, and regulations.
• Review promotional materials.
• Perform teaching audits.
• Assist with internal investigations and complaints.
• Manage corrective actions.
• Collaborate with business leaders on compliance.
• Articulate risk without being alarmist.
