We are seeking an energetic and versatile Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Industrial Hygienist/Environmental Consultant/Safety Specialist to join our Alpharetta, Georgia location.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Strong team management skills.
- Understanding of environmental science principles, industrial hygiene, and occupational safety.
- Professional knowledge of environmental science, industrial hygiene, and occupational safety principles, methods, and techniques.
- Understanding of chemistry, biological sciences, and public health pertinent to environmental remediation projects (lead, asbestos, mold).
- Ability to recognize and evaluate health hazards from catastrophic events (storms, flooding, fire), and related environmental, health, and safety impacts.
Job Responsibilities:
- Apply professional environmental science competence with specialized knowledge of chemistry, industrial hygiene, and biological science.
- Lead EH&S concern resolution for clients and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Travel by air, sea, and land at short notice to project locations.
- Obtain and maintain licenses in multiple states (mold, lead, asbestos assessments) and national certifications.
- Perform duties under Project Manager supervision.
- Perform project management duties as required.
- Coordinate staffing needs and provide leadership on multiple projects.
- Develop and grow clientele and client relationships.
- Assess equipment needs and recommend purchases.
- Prepare studies and reports according to standard procedures.
- Investigate, measure, and evaluate environmental, health, and safety conditions at client locations; conduct relevant research and development; prepare comprehensive reports for senior staff review.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Science/Geology/Engineering/Industrial Hygiene
- Minimum of 7-12 years EH&S experience.
- Multiple relevant professional certifications may permit waiving some experience requirements.
- Valid Driver's License
- TWIC card eligible
- 40-hour HAZWOPER and 8-hour Refresher Certificate (preferred)
- Asbestos Supervisor/Inspector licenses and Project Designer licenses in multiple states (preferred)
- Lead Inspector/Risk Assessor/Lead Project Designer licenses in multiple states (preferred)
- Mold Assessment Consultant licenses in Florida, Texas, and New York (preferred)
- National certifications in the area of specialty
Physical and Mental Qualifications:
- Ability to sit for extended periods
- Comfortable working in remote and/or hybrid environments
- Flexibility to work outside of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM business hours
- Flexibility to travel
