Location: Cambridge, UK (Remote within UK, onsite 4 times/year)
Are you an experienced, creative game art leader? As Associate Art Director on RuneScape: Dragonwilds, you’ll shape the visual identity, ensuring consistency across art assets.
You’ll support the Art Director, leading the art team with feedback and direction.
What you’ll be doing:
- Work with the Art Director to define a strong artistic vision.
- Own the visual quality for all art assets.
- Create style guides and visual documentation.
- Run feedback sessions for internal and external teams.
- Guide best practices in pipelines and workflows.
- Collaborate on scoping and scheduling art deliverables.
- Mentor lead artists across disciplines.
- Participate in recruitment.
- Engage in studio-wide initiatives.
What we’re looking for:
- Portfolio demonstrating Art Direction capability.
- Extensive game development experience to AAA standard.
- Experience communicating an artistic vision.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary art and animation teams.
- Practical mentoring capability in environment, character, concept, UI, VFX, lighting, or animation.
- Understanding of art fundamentals.
- Strong leadership skills.
