Our mission-driven client seeks an experienced Budget Analyst to join their small, tight-knit team! The ideal candidate is self-motivated, comfortably handles multiple projects, and cares about making an impact in their community.
This is a 100% remote position available to those residing in the state of Oregon, Washington, or California.
Budget Analyst Responsibilities
- Gather, review, organize, and analyze financial data in a timely manner.
- Develop reports, charts, and graphs to relay financial information to stakeholders.
- Present financial findings to leadership.
- Prepare cost reports and invoices ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Ad-hoc financial analysis, budget reporting, and state/federal audit support.
- Some travel required to site visits and conferences (10% or less).
Budget Analyst Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of finance functions including budgeting, grant management, and fiscal analysis.
- Prior industry experience in government, public health, human services, and/or healthcare.
- Exposure to Medicaid program administration preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Public Health, or similar a plus.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills with the ability to effectively convert large sets of data into easy-to-interpret graphs/charts.
- Customer-service oriented with strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Deadline-driven with the ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task.
- Organized with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Analytical mindset with strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
