We seek a skilled Portuguese-Speaking Accountant to join our team and provide financial expertise supporting our Portuguese-speaking clients and regions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. General Accounting: Manage and maintain accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with local and international accounting standards. Perform month-end and year-end closing activities. Prepare financial statements, balance sheets, and profit and loss accounts.
2. Accounts Payable/Receivable: Oversee invoicing, payments, and collections processes. Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
3. Tax Compliance: Handle tax filings and compliance for Portuguese-speaking regions, adhering to local laws and regulations. Liaise with tax authorities and ensure timely submissions.
4. Reporting and Analysis: Generate financial reports and forecasts to support decision-making. Conduct variance analysis to track and improve financial performance.
5. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including property managers, to align financial strategies. Support Portuguese-speaking clients and stakeholders, addressing their accounting inquiries effectively.

Requirements:

• Education and Certification: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably within property management or real estate sectors. Proficiency in handling multi-currency transactions and international financial standards (e.g., IFRS).
• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, or Xero). Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Language Skills: Fluency in Portuguese and English (written and spoken) is mandatory. Ability to communicate financial concepts clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
• Soft Skills: Detail-oriented, analytical, and solution-driven. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills in a multicultural environment.
