As a Client Controller, you will gain exposure to diverse business models and build relationships with top US innovators.
You'll be a key member, the go-to person for client entrepreneurs needing help with internal business processes, combining client management, communication, team oversight, monthly accounting tasks, and problem-solving.
Your role is integral in developing and managing processes and people, maintaining efficiency and a customer-centric approach.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, direct, and coordinate all accounting operational functions.
- Manage financial data accumulation and consolidation for accurate consolidated business results.
- Manage client relationships and needs.
- Complete and/or supervise and review monthly client close processes.
- Create and analyze financial reports/metrics for client result communication and decision-making support.
- Implement General Ledger, payroll, and billing systems for new entities.
- Lead recurring financial statement review calls with clients.
- Oversee and manage internal accounting team (Managers, Bookkeepers), implementing and monitoring processes.
- Supervise internal teams for A/R/A/P work on various clients.
- Assist with new client onboarding, needs assessment, and work plan establishment.
- Assess ongoing operations and systems, recommending improvements.
- Assist with OpStart accounting team hiring, training, and development.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of relevant experience (bookkeeping, accounting, financial statements, A/R/A/P, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of QuickBooks, NetSuite, Microsoft Excel, and GAAP.
- CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Familiarity with bill.com, Gusto, Brex, and similar platforms a plus.
- Familiarity with e-commerce, manufacturing, or inventory accounting a plus.
- Strong customer-centric mindset and desire to help others.
- Quick learner and rapid problem-solver.
- Organized, detail-oriented, communicative, efficient, tech-savvy.
- Ability to manage processes and people with limited oversight.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
