THE ROLE The Client Finance Manager will serve as an imperative role on the Accounting & Finance team at Movers + Shakers. This person will support all responsibilities associated with client budget management and revenue management. This will be a strategic and collaborative role acting as a liaison between Business Partnerships, Production and the Influencer Management team with the goal to connect dots between client budgets, scopes of work and internal fee + costs to ensure teams are working within budgets.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee the entire cycle of client budgets, including estimates, monitoring spend, and closing processes.
- Work with the Business Partnerships group to understand key financial aspects of client contracts.
- Manage external AR shared services, ensuring timely billing and cash flow.
- Monitor OOP costs, including production and influencer budgets, and track receivables against budgets.
- Support revenue management and FP&A activities as needed.
- Generate/approve purchase orders (POs) against cost estimates on jobs.
- Maintain integrity of financial reporting and ensure compliance with client and internal requirements.
- Provide reports on client/job profitability to analyze variances between hours worked and dollars spent against budgets.
- Assist with month-end closing processes and support audit compliance efforts.

QUALIFICATIONS
- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance or similar.
- 3-5 years of related experience.
- Experience in marketing, advertising, PR or professional services firm.
- Deltek Maconomy and OneStream financial systems experience a plus.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated understanding of revenue recognition and revenue management principles, ASC 606 experience a plus.
- Public Accounting experience a plus.
BASE SALARY RANGE Our estimated range for this role is $80,000-100,000
