As a valued colleague, you'll assess and identify insurance risks affecting Fannie Mae's reputation, safety, security, and financial success.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and experts to minimize insurance risks and support policy development.
Develop and manage insurance requirements for multifamily properties, and solve complex insurance problems.
Apply technical understanding of insurance principles, underwriting practices, and state/federal laws.
Potentially lead projects, mentor, and coach team members.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert (Insurance) - research, identify, and analyze insurance market data trends.
- Determine property and liability risks, controls, and mitigation associated with waiver requests and new/post-purchase loans.
- Provide professional verbal and written responses and feedback on insurance matters for internal and external stakeholders.
- Train stakeholders on Fannie Mae insurance requirements.
- Audit lender and servicer insurance compliance practices.
- Partner with internal and external customers to provide exceptional service.
- Coach and mentor team associates.
- Assist Manager/Advisor as needed.
