Position Summary:
The Overture Maps Foundation seeks a Community Manager to build and nurture relationships across our ecosystem. This role focuses on understanding and addressing the needs of users engaging with Overture's open data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy & Planning: Provide strategy for community development and engagement. Define and track KPIs for community growth.
- Community Engagement: Lead community engagement strategy. Manage feedback and synthesize for product teams.
- Member Onboarding & Support: Design onboarding programs for new members. Create pathways for community involvement.
- Communications & Content: Develop content strategies that communicate technical concepts. Maintain community documentation.
- Event Planning & Execution: Plan community events, including conferences and webinars.
- Website & Digital Presence: Provide website updates and content direction.
- Internal Communications & Coordination: Lead cross-team updates.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience in community development or developer relations.
- Understanding of geospatial data and mapping technologies.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to build community relationships.
- Strategic thinker.
Location & Travel:
Remote with occasional travel (15-20%).
