Full-Time Controller

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules.
• Lead general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll accounting, and bank reconciliations.
• Implement and manage internal controls and accounting policies.
• Manage and optimize accounting systems and workflows.
• Support budgeting and forecasting efforts in partnership with leadership.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to inform strategic decision-making.
• Coordinate and manage external audits and tax filings.
• Maintain documentation and processes to support clean audit opinions.
• Supervise and develop a small accounting team.
• Partner cross-functionally on operational improvements and financial insights.

• Strong working knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting and internal controls
• Proficiency in accounting systems (particularly NetSuite) and Excel
• Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and organizational skills
• Clear communicator and dependable partner to leadership
• Ability to lead and mentor teams in a remote environment
• Pacific Time Zone required - able to commute to Cerritos, CA as needed.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally including experience as an Assistant Controller
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred but not required)
