WHAT DOES A CREATIVE DIRECTOR (ART), DO? The Creative Director (CD) oversees creative efforts and team members on multiple brands and indications. The CD is a leader, mentor, and guide, setting standards for craft and communication. They instruct, refine, and push all creative team members to higher standards and achievements.
The CD has a strong background in art, well-versed in copy, and capable of leading creative efforts across all campaign types and multi-channel strategies.
The CD possesses the marketing/advertising expertise to ensure work achieves full potential, adheres to brand standards, stays on schedule, and meets or exceeds client expectations.
Working with account and planning partners, the CD ensures the business' overall success, maximizing team billability, profitability, and organic growth opportunities.
The CD is a trusted client partner, strategically presenting and selling work.
Preferred experience includes AOR and launch experience. Serves as a creative standard-bearer through constant immersion in industry trends.
Partners with account and planning on creative brief development, clarifying creative ask and direction.
Acts as the client’s lead creative guide and trusted partner, ensuring necessary background materials and team setup for success.
Promotes strong partnerships with internal and external teams (clients, vendors, and partner agencies).
Acts as a highly organized strategic partner and go-to for account, planning, production, and SME teams.
Has a clear understanding of medical, regulatory, and legal (MRL) parameters and ensures creative work is appropriately substantiated.
Mastery of storytelling and confidently presents and defends the work to clients.
Proficient in adapting and leading teams in new directions. Acts as a checkpoint for creative excellence.
Understands the importance of utilization and works hard to ensure team targets are met.
Shows care and consideration for team members, proactively addressing challenges.
Demonstrates understanding of each team member's strengths and how to leverage them for optimal work.
Exhibits strong emotional intelligence, creating a positive work environment, and building relationships.
Acts as a client partner, focusing on strategic initiatives, and building strong agency-client relationships.
Helps lead pitches and new business efforts, inspiring the team, setting clear directives, and pushing work to the highest levels.
Builds strong interdepartmental relationships.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Proven conceptual and strategic leader.
10+ years of experience (art/design side).
Demonstrated experience developing AOR campaigns for pharma clients.
Award-winning portfolio.
Ability to deliver creative that moves brands toward strategic goals.
Wide range of industry experience (launches, label updates, etc.)
