Full-Time Design Manager

Responsibilities

• Design Leadership: Align and inspire the design team, setting high standards for excellence and ensuring our work surpasses client expectations.
• Entrepreneurial Thinking: Apply a business-driven approach to design, helping shape product strategies that align with both user needs and business objectives.
• Knowledge Sharing: Foster a culture of learning by leading regular creative sessions and encouraging continuous improvement in user experience and interface design.
• Process Improvement: Regularly assess and refine our design processes, tools, and methodologies to boost efficiency and effectiveness.
• Innovation: Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive innovation within the team and the agency.
• Project Oversight: Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Client Collaboration: Work closely with clients to understand their needs, provide strategic design recommendations, and present compelling design concepts and solutions.
• Design Strategy: Develop and implement design strategies that align with client objectives, user needs, and industry standards.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough reviews to ensure all deliverables meet our quality and usability standards.

Qualifications

• High Proficiency in English: Excellent reading, writing, and speaking skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with US-based clients.
• Entrepreneurial Experience: Experience working in a startup environment, whether as a founder, early-stage team member, or consultant, is highly preferred.
• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.
• Professional Experience: At least 5 years of experience in UX/UI design with a strong portfolio showcasing mobile app and web app design.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Figma and a deep understanding of UX/UI design best practices, trends, techniques, and technologies, including mobile-first and responsive design.
• Concept Development: Strong skills in concept development, product envisioning, and presentation.
• Client Collaboration: Ability to work closely with clients to understand requirements and effectively communicate design decisions.
• Experience with International Clients: Proven experience working with international clients, particularly those based in the United States or Canada.
• Communication and Teamwork: Exceptional communication, presentation, and active listening skills, with a strong ability to collaborate in a global, agile team environment.
• Time Management: Excellent project management and follow-up skills, ensuring timely delivery and quality assurance.

Recommended Skills

• Webflow Experience: Familiarity with using Webflow (or similar tool) for web design and development.
• User Testing Analytics: Experience with user testing and analytics tools to gather insights and inform design decisions.
• Productivity Tools: Familiarity with Notion, Slack, ClickUp, and Google Suite for efficient project management and team collaboration.
