Job Summary: We aim to build incredible products and services through deep collaboration, supporting delivery of our game portfolio. Leading game production for a PCF title (internal or external partner). Both roles require similar core experience; external partners require expertise in work-for-hire models and client expectations management.
Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end game delivery: Internal/external model, overseeing all development phases with quality focus.
- Partner with stakeholders: Align on goals and execution with producers, team leads, and partners.
- Manage stakeholder relationships: Internal/external, ensure clear expectations, drive consistent meeting or exceeding of expectations.
- Build business relationships: Foster trust, collaboration, and long-term success.
- Manage detailed project plans: Schedules, milestones, resources, goals, risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Proactive risk management: Define mitigation and contingency strategies for timeline, scope, and budget risks.
- Drive recruitment & resources: Plan resource staffing and vendor management for project lifecycle support.
- Communicate project progress: Track and report regularly, adapting plans to scope changes while maintaining overall alignment.
- Lead trade-offs & prioritization: Evaluate trade-offs and prioritize balancing business goals with technical constraints, present data-driven options for decision-making optimizing for quality, time, and cost.
- Cultivate cross-department collaboration: Build strong working relationships across all departments, ensuring shared commitment to project goals.
- Grow and mentor production staff: Coach, mentor, and support professional development, building a robust talent pipeline and succession plan.
- Lead Directors & Producers: Leading team of directors and producers, ensuring alignment at all leadership levels.
- High-level reporting: Provide reports on project status, risks, mitigation strategies, and overall schedule health.
Requirements:
- Experience: 10+ years in game development leadership, managing teams of 100+ people, and collaborating with external partners.
- Skills: Proven project management skills, excellent presentation skills, knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies, strong negotiation skills, exceptional problem-solving and organizational skills, excellent teamwork, strong interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively in diverse environments.
