The Role: The CRO Digital Specialist is tasked with the day-to-day execution of the strategic direction of Neilson A/B testing and experimentation capabilities. The role holder will need to be highly organised and someone who can manage multiple workstreams. While agency experience would be an advantage, as would experience with the Google stack and/or A/B testing platforms, this is a junior role and ideal for a career starter as any additional training can be given on the job.
This role sits within the Product Team which sits within the wider Thinkbait team at Neilson Financial Services, a team with specialisations in ecommerce, digital marketing, creative, content, UX, frontend development and offline advertising.
The role encompasses implementing and monitoring the performance of A/B testing experiments, reporting and documenting outcomes and serving as a point of contact for internal stakeholders and external partners. There will also be opportunities to support the Web Analytics Manager and build practical skills in digital measurement and insight.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Support the Optimisation Manager in executing the day-to-day strategic vision for A/B testing and experimentation programs.
- Implement and monitor A/B tests and experiments across digital platforms.
- Generate regular reports on experiment performance, providing clear and actionable insights.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of all experiments, methodologies, and results.
- Serve as a point of contact for internal stakeholders, addressing queries related to experimentation, performance, and measurement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and provide updates on testing initiatives.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the experimentation process and best practices.
- Utilise data from various analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics 4, MS Clarity) to inform testing hypotheses and identify areas for optimisation.
- Work independently and proactively within a distributed team environment.
- Demonstrate conscientiousness, diligence, and a keen attention to detail in all tasks.
- Apply company values in all aspects of work and interactions.
- Contribute to a data-driven marketing culture with a passion for experimentation and continuous improvement.
Essential Skills & Attributes:
- Self-starter and proactive, enthusiastic and self-motivated.
- A collaborative and positive attitude working across multiple teams – a team player.
- Ability to embrace change in a fast-paced environment and respond positively to new opportunities.
- Comfortable working remotely and managing own workload effectively.
Desirable:
- A 3rd-level qualification in a digital related field.
- Previous experience in a digital marketing or agency environment.
- Familiarity with A/B testing methodology, basic statistical concepts, and UX principles.
- Basic understanding of tools such as Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, Looker Studio, MS Clarity, VWO, or cookie consent platforms – a bonus but not essential.
