Full-Time Director, Market Intelligence & Human Centered Design

The People (HR) Systems team at Visa is expanding the Employee Experience group. This is an exciting opportunity to join the team and shape how to deliver exceptional experiences to our employees globally.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Employee Experience Systems, the role will be an integral part of establishing practices and tools to deliver intuitive and accessible solutions.

The role will focus on creating solutions that meet the real needs of the end users by understanding the context in which users interact with a product or service and involving them in the design process through research, testing, and feedback.

Responsibilities:

1. Conducting user research: Gathering data through interviews, surveys, and other methods to understand user needs, behaviors, and motivations.
2. Collaborating with cross-functional teams: Working closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure design decisions are informed by user insights.
3. Prototyping and testing: Creating prototypes of solutions and testing them with users to gather feedback and make iterative improvements.
4. Developing design concepts: Based on user research, creating concepts that solve real user problems in a visually appealing and intuitive way.
5. Communicating design solutions: Communicating the design decisions to stakeholders and ensuring alignment on the overall design direction.
6. Ensuring accessibility and inclusiveness: Ensuring designs are accessible and usable for all users, including people with disabilities and those from diverse backgrounds.
7. Staying up-to-date with design trends and technology: Continuously developing skills and knowledge.
8. Presenting insights and recommendations: Communicating findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.

Basic Qualifications:

• 10 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 5+ years with an Advanced Degree (e.g., Master's, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years with a PhD.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Successful track record leading complex, multi-faceted initiatives or projects
• Understanding of People Technology stack and core People processes
• Experience working in large/global corporate environments
• Excellent written and communication skills, able to present to executive management and communicate complex security and technology concepts to non-technical staff
• Ability to work in ambiguous situations and have influence across organizational boundaries
• Ability to influence and steer a wide range of stakeholders while working with a team
