BrandSundays for Dogs is a venture-backed direct-to-consumer brand focused on simplifying modern dog parenting, allowing more quality time with dogs. We enable dog parents to choose both quality and convenience in dog food.
The Role & Team: We seek a strategic & data-driven Director of Ecommerce to bridge technology, marketing, and data. This role owns the digital product roadmap, shapes the website experience, and leads the Shopify transition.
Success is measured by conversion rate optimization, reduced churn, and enhanced overall ecommerce experience.
The role reports to the SVP of Marketing, a high-functioning strategic team. The marketing team includes brand, creative, performance marketing, retention, data, and now ecommerce. A recent rebrand and website relaunch set the stage for growth.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Own the Digital Product Roadmap: Strategically map website changes to enhance user experience and achieve key business objectives.
- Conversion Optimization & Retention Strategy: Improve conversion rates (independent of paid media), reduce churn, and increase engagement via UX enhancements.
- Shopify Implementation: Lead the transition to Shopify, ensuring a seamless customer experience and retention strategy.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Establish KPIs (conversion rate, churn, revenue growth), tracking insights, and iterating.
- A/B Testing & Experimentation: Execute experiments to improve conversion, leveraging analytics and insights to optimize the funnel.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with marketing, data, CX, and operations teams.
- Strategic Prioritization: Act as strategic decision-maker for ecommerce initiatives.
- UI/UX Product Design Leadership: Lead digital product design initiatives for an intuitive, conversion-focused user experience.
- Harmonize Marketing & Data: Bridge the gap between creativity and analytics.
What Success Looks Like (First 6 Months):
- Improve conversion rates independent of paid media.
- Reduce churn through UX enhancements and retention strategies.
- Drive internal buy-in and execution of ecommerce initiatives.
- Introduce new functionality to enhance customer retention.
What Success Looks Like (First Year & Beyond):
- Lead and successfully execute the Shopify re-platforming.
- Scale ecommerce strategy through data-driven decision-making and digital innovation.
- Drive consistent improvement in ecommerce KPIs (CAC, LTV, revenue growth).
