Director of Ecommerce will be based in Denver, Colorado.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive ecommerce strategy to drive revenue growth, improve customer acquisition, and optimize KPIs (Bounce Rate, Conversion, AOV, UPT, AUR, etc.).
- Oversee and optimize the Shopify Plus platform for smooth functionality, security, and best practices; evaluate and implement new features for enhanced online shopping experience.
- Manage website development and operations, including UX/UI improvements, digital merchandising, and technical performance to create a seamless customer journey.
- Develop digital merchandising strategy to enhance product discovery and navigation through optimized taxonomy, site architecture, and content presentation across the customer funnel (Homepage to Checkout).
- Collaborate with performance marketing and creative functions to enhance landing pages, promotional strategies, and site messaging aligning with brand initiatives and customer expectations.
- Lead A/B testing and conversion rate optimization program to refine customer pathways, increase engagement, and maximize sales opportunities through data-driven decisions.
- Work closely with Operations on forecasting and assortment planning to align product availability with demand and sales goals.
- Create and maintain insightful reporting dashboards to track key metrics, forecast trends, and identify optimization opportunities for revenue growth.
Experience Requirements:
- 7-10+ years of ecommerce management experience in a direct-to-consumer (DTC) business or retail ecommerce department, with expertise in Shopify Plus.
- Experience with tangible goods (hardgoods/softgoods), apparel, outdoor, retail, or CPG/consumer goods strongly preferred.
- Prior experience as a Digital Product Owner, Ecommerce Manager, Digital Merchandising Manager, Site Merchandiser, or Ecommerce Specialist preferred.
- Proven ability to develop and execute a site roadmap, collaborating with external stakeholders and Shopify agencies.
- Strong understanding of ecommerce best practices, trends, and technologies, including web development, UX/UI design, and site optimization.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in Google Analytics, Shopify, Klaviyo, Tableau/Looker, and A/B testing and personalization tools.
- Extensive experience with digital merchandising tools such as Searchspring and RetentionX to enhance product discoverability and conversion.
Location:
Hybrid role, some time in the office. Candidates must be based near Denver, Colorado, and comfortable working from the office as needed.
