The Director of Ecommerce will manage and enhance the performance and user experience of Truewerk's direct-to-consumer ecommerce platform to drive revenue growth and influence core digital KPIs. This role requires balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution, owning the entire site experience for a seamless online shopping experience.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive ecommerce strategy for revenue growth, customer acquisition, and KPI optimization (Bounce Rate, Conversion, AOV, UPT, AUR, etc.).
- Oversee and optimize the Shopify Plus platform, ensuring smooth functionality and adherence to best practices.
- Manage website development and operations, including UX/UI improvements, digital merchandising, and technical performance.
- Develop a digital merchandising strategy enhancing product discovery and navigation.
- Collaborate with performance marketing and creative functions to enhance landing pages, promotional strategies, and site messaging.
- Lead an A/B testing and conversion rate optimization program.
- Work closely with Operations on forecasting and assortment planning.
- Create insightful reporting dashboards to track key metrics, forecast trends, and identify optimization opportunities.
Requirements:
- 7-10+ years of ecommerce management experience (DTC or retail).
- Shopify Plus expertise.
- Experience with tangible goods (hardgoods/softgoods), preferably in apparel, outdoor, retail, or CPG/consumer goods.
- Prior roles as a Digital Product Owner, Ecommerce Manager, or Digital Merchandising Manager, or early experience as a Site Merchandiser/Ecommerce Specialist.
- Proven ability to develop and execute a site roadmap.
- Deep understanding of ecommerce best practices and technologies (web development, UX/UI design, site optimization).
- Strong analytical skills using Google Analytics, Shopify, Klaviyo, Tableau/Looker, A/B testing, and personalization tools.
- Experience with digital merchandising tools like Searchspring and RetentionX.
