As Rome2Rio enters its next phase of growth, we’re creating a new function to help bring our products to market more strategically, connect more deeply with our users, and unlock long-term value.
We’re hiring our first-ever Director of Product Marketing to lead that effort.
This is a foundational role—reporting to the VP of Marketing —that will shape how we position our products, tell our story, and scale our reach.
You’ll work across Product, Marketing, Analytics, and CX to develop go-to-market strategies, optimize performance channels, and define how product marketing drives business impact at Rome2Rio.
If you’re a strategic, data-savvy, and customer-obsessed marketer who thrives in fast-moving environments—this is that kind of role.
What you’ll do
- Develop and execute a comprehensive product marketing strategy aligned to product roadmaps and company goals.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to bring high-impact go-to-market plans to life.
- Shape audience insights, messaging, and positioning to strengthen user connection and engagement.
- Optimize core performance channels (SEO, SEM, content) while identifying and testing new growth opportunities.
- Lead the discovery and development of 2–3 key growth areas over the next 24 months.
- Monitor and analyze performance, adjusting tactics to drive measurable business results.
- Act as the internal expert on market dynamics, user behavior, and competitor activity.
- Represent product marketing in senior forums, aligning stakeholders on strategy and priorities.
What We’re Looking For
- 12+ years of experience in product marketing or growth marketing roles, ideally in digital or tech environments.
- Strong leadership track record, including experience guiding cross-functional teams and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Expertise in SEO, SEM, content marketing, and channel strategy.
- High analytical acumen—comfortable making decisions based on data, research, and experimentation.
- Ability to turn ambiguity into structure, and strategy into action.
- Excellent communicator with a collaborative mindset and high emotional intelligence.
- Experience managing budgets and making resource trade-offs to optimize outcomes.
- A builder at heart—you’re motivated by creating new value from the ground up.
Bonus Points
- Experience in travel, transport, or marketplace businesses.
- Familiarity with product-led or B2C tech environments.
- Hands-on knowledge of emerging martech or growth tools.
