Experian Consumer Services is seeking a strategic Director of UX Design to lead the vision and execution of user experience across digital financial wellness products.
You will report to the VP of Product - Customer Experience.
You'll have opportunity to:
- Design Leadership & Vision: Define a user-centered design vision.
- Partner with Executive leadership to shape product strategy.
- Lead the creation of inclusive experiences across web and mobile platforms.
- Represent the voice of the customer.
- Ensure UX consistency across all products.
Team Development:
- Lead a design organization spanning product design, content design, and design systems.
- Coach, mentor, and empower designers, promoting a culture of craft excellence.
- Foster an inclusive, collaborative environment.
- Establish clear career paths and performance expectations.
Design Operations:
- Strengthen processes and systems for design team efficiency and collaboration.
- Evolve and maintain design systems and tooling.
- Define rituals for feedback and knowledge sharing.
- Establish metrics to evaluate design impact.
- Improve team workflows for speed and consistency.
Requirements:
- 8+ years in product design, with 5+ years in design leadership within a SaaS or consumer-facing digital business.
- Experience setting a strategic design vision.
- Expertise in human-centered design, responsive web and mobile UX, and accessibility standards.
- Experience in hiring, mentoring, and scaling diverse design teams.
- Experience with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Research collaboration.
- Hands-on experience implementing scalable design operations.
- Working knowledge of Server-Driven UI (SDUI).
- Proficient in tracking design impact through OKRs and CX metrics.
- Fluency in design tools like Figma, Miro, and Jira.
