Director of Oncology Product Marketing will oversee HCP, care team, and patient marketing across the portfolio Guardant Health tests, including Guardant360 Liquid, Guardant360 CDx, Guardant360 Tissue and Guardant Reveal.
This individual will build the portfolio strategy and lead a team of marketers to deliver tactics against that plan. This role reports to the Senior Director, Oncology Marketing and has people management responsibilities.
This is a hybrid role (3 days a week in the Palo Alto office). Fully remote candidates will be considered.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the annual brand planning process to capture market context, strategies, and tactics in a single document that acts as the north star throughout the year.
- Set a clear promotional strategy for therapy selection and monitoring that drives adoption and utilization of our products to meet or exceed volume / revenue targets.
- Build and execute a tactical plan across channels (personal and non-personal promotions) that supports the portfolio and prioritizes the individual products aligned to the overarching goals.
- Coach a team of marketers to drive high performance and engagement; set the vision, clarify expectations, provide consistent feedback, develop specific competencies
- Collaborate cross functionally with sales, product, medical affairs, lab, bioinformatics, legal, and regulatory to inform the marketing strategy, messaging and tactical development.
- Partner closely with the analytics and insights teams to ensure that we answer key business questions with data and consistently leverage market insights to inform how we approach HCPs, care teams and patients.
- Vet, onboard, and lead agency partners / vendors to support the marketing team’s ability to deliver best in class promotional materials.
Essential Qualifications:
- Must have Bachelor's Degree; preference for a scientific or technical background
- Must have 10+ years of product marketing or scientific communications experience
- Must have strong track record of being able to translate highly technical and scientific information and data into a clear and compelling narrative
- Must have strong communications and storytelling skills – written and verbal
- Must have experience with people management
Travel expectations: 25%
Preferred Qualifications:
- Sales experience is a plus
- MBA or Master's preferred
Hybrid Work Model:
At Guardant Health, we have defined days for in-person/onsite collaboration and work-from-home days for individual-focused time. All U.S. employees who live within 50 miles of a Guardant facility will be required to be onsite on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.
Salary Range:
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $122,100 to $195,400. The range does not include benefits, and if applicable, bonus, commission, or equity.
For positions based in Palo Alto, CA or Redwood City, CA, the base salary range for this full-time position is $162,800 to $244,200. The range does not include benefits, and if applicable, bonus, commission, or equity.
Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including, but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. If you are selected to move forward, the recruiting team will provide details specific to the factors above.
