Full-Time Director, Technical Accounting

ServiceNow is seeking a highly motivated Technical Accounting Director with a proven ability to excel in a fast-paced, multi-task environment. Collaborate with stakeholders across the company to ensure successful Finance initiatives. This high-profile role plays a critical part in technical accounting and reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Research and document technical accounting issues.
• Present and resolve accounting positions with external auditors.
• Monitor, assess, and implement new accounting pronouncements.
• Lead purchase accounting, valuation, and M&A integrations.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for investment accounting, goodwill/intangible impairments, share-based compensation, revenue accounting, etc.
• Manage and lead team in monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities.
• Develop and mentor the technical accounting team.
• Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders in Accounting, Finance, Legal, and other departments.
• Drive process improvements for optimization.
• Develop, implement, and maintain global accounting policies and controls.
• Coordinate audit support with external auditors.
• Lead special projects and workflow improvements.
• Participate in SEC reporting and ensure US GAAP compliance.
• Contribute to ESG readiness procedures.

Qualifications:

• 12+ years of experience, including 4-5 years of Big Four public accounting experience.
• BS/BA in Finance or Accounting, CPA required.
• Sr. Manager role at Big Four firm or Director of Technical Accounting at a public company.
• Strong team player with a positive attitude.
• Solid technical accounting background with knowledge of US GAAP, SOX 404, SEC reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with SAP and strong Excel skills.
